detail

This project covers an extensive area of 24,458.8 square feet, with a specific emphasis on the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of the building. The building is structured across two floors, with a maximum height of approximately 44.6 feet. Our critical services for this project included 3D modeling and coordination, aiming to facilitate seamless integration and optimize the efficiency of the MEP systems. Through our expertise in 3D modeling and coordination, we ensured the smooth operation and effective functioning of the MEP systems within the building.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenges

  • Design Changes
  • Architecture changes while modeling
  • Japanese Document Standards & study
  • Tight Deadline

Solutions

  • During the modeling and coordination stage, we encountered design changes that required adjustments and sometimes even re-modeling certain elements to accommodate the revisions. Our team ensured that the existing model was modified to align with the changes while also making coordination adjustments in the services to ensure proper alignment.
  • At the beginning of the modeling work, the design was not finalized. Pinnacle thoroughly reviewed all the documents and identified major design conflicts and missing information. This proactive approach helped us plan the sequence of work effectively.
  • The coordination between Architecture and MEP modeling was carried out simultaneously to meet the project schedule. To ensure timely delivery, Pinnacle implemented various measures, such as:

    1. Maintaining constant communication with the client through teams and meetings to provide work updates and prioritize tasks.
    2. Highlighting any issues along with proposed solutions to facilitate quick resolution.
    3. Planning resources efficiently to address any urgent requirements.

  • Pinnacle utilized BIM360 to publish the Revit model and share markups with the client, as it is an efficient and rapid method of communication.

Pinnacle’s Value Addition

  • Understanding Japanese documents, standards, and terminology is a valuable skill that Pinnacle possesses. This expertise enables us to comprehensively analyze and interpret these documents, resulting in improved efficiency and time savings. Pinnacle's proficiency in Japanese documentation adds significant value to our services, ensuring smooth communication and successful project execution.

  • In situations where specific details were not provided, Pinnacle adhered to the Japanese standard and verified the measurements accordingly. However, if the required information was missing or incomplete, we proactively raised queries to obtain the necessary details. Our commitment to accuracy and attention to detail ensured that we had a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements.

Outcomes

  • More quality output with less effort using Revit.
  • Flawless collaboration among stakeholders, reduced errors, and improved building performance.
  • Met the design team schedule without failure.
