Mount Carmel East

Mount Carmel East Expansion GMP3 consisting of 1 Building with 6 Floors (9 zones) spread over 359,342 sq. ft. project area is transforming to a people-focused healthcare campus. The new Mount Carmel East will be optimized to provide the healthcare of tomorrow while reflecting commitment to people-centered care. Starting from a new, simplified campus entrance to seamless, efficient care supporting better outcome and patient safety, every aspect of the campus transformation has been designed to create a welcoming, safe and healing environment. The project includes 381 all-private patient rooms, 5 new story patient care tower, new state-of-the-art surgical suite, level II trauma care, expanded kitchen and bistro-style dining, new prominent main entrance and expanded parking as well as spacious light filled main entry and lobby, new chapel, peaceful respit area and park-like outdoor spaces. The transformation began in May, 2015 and will be finished in phases through 2019. This will lead the way for continued success in caring for all central Ohio communities for generations to come.
