Salalah Airport is the second gateway of the Sultanate of Oman; located on the Salalah coastal plain, 5.5 kilometers northeast from Salalah’s city centre. The airport was being expanded and modernized. The used to accommodate 2 million passengers per year. Once the airport was fully expanded, its capacity increased to 10 million passengers. The project also comprised the construction of a sea cargo terminal and the upgradation of the runway and taxiway system.
