Sterling Bay

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Pinnacle created the 3D BIM Model of Sterling Bay 16-1617 for Meade Electrical, consisting of a core and shell building with 12 levels (lower level 2, lower level 1, level 1, level 2 -8, level 9 & level 9 M) spread over 2 zones for Lighting, Telecommunication and Containment services. We recreated the BIM models from the engineer’s Revit files for the electrical service provided by the client for new construction. Our final deliverables were Revit Model and Shop Drawings

Value Added

Our electrical value engineering for power and lighting in Revit MEP included Validation of System Voltage & Connected Loads, Panel Schedule Generation & Load Balancing, Validation of all wire sizes, Voltage Drop Calculation, Lighting & Power Load Consumption, Classification of all Loads & Calculation and Estimated Demand Loads.

We raised RFIs for missing size of conduit intra level panel connections, cut sheet requirement and more.
