Empowering Tribal Women at Farakidanga Village

Women empowerment has always been an integral part of the community-building activities at Pinnacle Infotech. Hence, as a part of skill-building activities in the Indian tribal villages, Pinnacle under its CSR initiative - Ankuran, has installed a Sal leaf plate manufacturing unit at Farakidanga village under Gopalpur Panchayat - West Bengal. To set up this unit, we have established the entire setup that includes a plate manufacturing machine and a sewing machine.

 

The project aims to provide sustainable livelihood to tribal villages through community support and skill-building activities for their integrated development. Also, we aim to enable the tribal women as entrepreneurs, which will help them become agile and better support their community.

 

At present, 30 tribal women have benefited from this program. More members will be associated as the program expands.
