The Westgate Residence is spread across approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of area. The project included the renovation of a 1948 sq ft house located in Brentwood, CA where the objective was to architecturally update the building through the use of new materials, spatial definition, and openings, but without increasing the overall square footage or building envelope. Pinnacle offered structural BIM services for the residential building working on the Structure 3D Model and Shop Drawings within the stipulated time and delivered the solution ahead of the deadline.

The main challenge was faced in the 3D Modeling Services where we had to maintain the bottom of the foundation elevation as it was missing. This was important to extract the excavation plan.
With our long-held expertise in working on such projects and dealing with similar structural trade situations, we reviewed the excavation plan thoroughly and carefully examined the provided excavation plan to understand the proposed depths and dimensions of the footing. With this, we were able to offer an apt solution that cohesively met the project’s structural modeling requirement at length.
The project was under a tight deadline. We planned and appointed extra resources on board and got some more service information on the footing drawings to expedite the delivery process. This helped the client to have enough time in hand to review the drawings and take note of the necessary changes. Timely delivery of drawings and effective communication with clients led to smooth dispensation and closure.
