Amgen Pipe Bridge Assy is an industrial plant located in Houston, Texas. Pinnacle’s scope for this mechanical BIM modeling project included converting the 3D model of process piping and equipment from Revit to Revit Fabrication. We also delivered coordinated shop drawings, spool drawings, and assembly drawings for pipe rack piping to support accurate fabrication and installation.
Our scope of work for the project included the following:
Conversion of the client’s 3D model of Process Piping and Equipment from Revit to Revit Fabrication, including but not limited to:
The process piping and equipment model was developed based on the received Revit-linked input and progressed to a fabrication-ready level suitable for producing coordinated shop, spool, and assembly drawings.
Preparation of detailed shop drawings, spool drawings, and 2D assembly drawings derived from the fabrication model, aligned with project coordination requirements for Pipe Rack Piping.

Challenge: The client provided a Revit-linked file, and extracting usable project data from it presented a certain challenge.
Solution: Held daily meetings with the client to discuss doubts related to project specifications, which helped establish a smooth and operational workflow throughout the process.
Challenge: The client's team required greater familiarity with BIM tools to streamline engagement and implementation.
Solution: Provided the client with knowledge of BIM and the BIM software Navisworks and Revit, streamlining the process of engagement and implementation.
Enhanced project outcomes by converting the client's process piping and equipment model into a coordinated, fabrication-ready Revit Fabrication model, supporting accurate shop, spool, and assembly drawing production for Pipe Rack Piping.
Contributed to project success by holding daily coordination meetings to resolve data-extraction challenges from Revit-linked files, minimizing rework, and maintaining a smooth production workflow.
