Construction industry trade shows are where deals actually start. A handshake on a show floor still beats a cold email. So, this extensive list rounds up the top construction trade shows still ahead in 2026. It also looks ahead to 2027.
First up is FutureBuild 2026, hosted by Pinnacle.
Let’s get real: it is not the biggest show on this list.
But for AECO professionals spanning digital design, BIM engineering, digital construction, and operations, though, it may be the most useful.
Read on, and start blocking your calendar.
Nobody reads a cold email twice. A five-minute chat on the show floor sticks longer. That is because construction professionals close more deals after a real conversation than after a cold pitch. Trade shows put facility owners, contractors, and vendors in the same room. As a result, that proximity creates new opportunities faster than any outbound campaign.
A demo video only tells half the story. At a show, though, you touch the hardware yourself. That hands-on time with new BIM tools or robotics changes how fast teams adopt them. So, decision-makers walk the show floor for exactly this reason.
Construction networking events exist for a simple reason: nobody wants to relearn a costly mistake. Panel discussions and hallway chats both surface fixes that took someone else years to find. On top of that, industry experts share what actually worked on real projects, not theory.
That beats most keynote slides.
FutureBuild 2026 brings together professionals working across the construction lifecycle, with a focus on digital design, BIM, construction management, and digital operations.
FutureBuild 2026 marks the seventh edition of this summit. Its theme, “Construction Lifecycle. Reimagined,” points to a real shift in AECO work.
For years, estimating, BIM, prefabrication, and field execution ran as separate lanes.
Now, this year’s sessions treat them as one connected process.
The agenda splits into four tracks.
They are Digital Design, BIM Engineering & Construction, Digital Construction Management, and Digital Operations Management.
For two days, these teams sit under one roof.
With panelists and speakers from the industry titans, FutureBuild 2026 promises to be the grandest AECO event of the year, and rightly so, with so many innovative topics lined up across the event agenda.
This event suits senior executives, architects, design consultants, engineers, construction industry vendors, and contractors. In particular, it fits anyone touching more than one project phase. Digital practice leaders and BIM managers will find it especially relevant, too. So if your job spans design and construction, block your calendar today!
FutureBuild 2026 runs October 8 and 9, 2026, at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront in California.
Things kick off on October 8 with cocktails and a grand reception dinner.
The next day, October 9, covers sessions, panel discussions, technology demos, and meals from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Better yet, guests traveling from outside the Bay Area get a complimentary night at the venue.
Only a limited number of seats remain, so register soon.
Beyond FutureBuild, this section covers the top construction trade shows still ahead in 2026, grouped by focus.
Procore Groundbreak kicks things off on October 20 to 22 in Orlando. From day one, it’s attracting thousands of owners, GCs, and tech leads. Companies attending the event include some of the largest names in construction software.
Trimble Dimensions follows from November 9 to 11 in Las Vegas. Its show floor puts the latest innovations in autonomous and digital construction to work, hands-on. Companies attending include the largest names in construction software.
Autodesk University 2026 already wrapped in September in Las Vegas, with a world-class keynote lineup.
Some events, including Autodesk’s, run ambassador programs worth joining year-round. Together, these events help digital construction teams stay ahead of the next release, not the last one.
DBIA’s Design-Build Conference & Expo runs from November 4 to 6 in Cleveland. It focuses entirely on integrated project delivery.
Advancing Preconstruction has already wrapped for 2026 in Phoenix. It is the dedicated preconstruction conference for estimators and precon leads. Watch for its next dates.
Either way, both events matter if your wins depend on decisions made before ground breaks.
CMAA 2026 opens this group on October 4 to 6 in Denver. Sessions there dig into project delivery, contract administration, and risk management.
The Associated General Contractors run an annual conference each spring. They also host a summer health conference focused on construction safety and jobsite risk.
The Construction Super Conference runs from December 1 to 3 in Huntington Beach. It brings attorneys, contractors, and risk professionals onto a single agenda.
Across all three, facility owners and general contractors find real value.
Greenbuild leads this category from October 20 to 23 at the Javits Center in New York. It remains the largest annual event for sustainable construction and green building worldwide, with topics such as the latest LEED updates and carbon strategies. Expect dense networking opportunities across more than 100 sessions.
Better Building by Design, a smaller regional show in Vermont, already wrapped for 2026. It typically returns each spring.
Shortly after Greenbuild, NFMT West follows on November 3 and 4 in Las Vegas. It targets facility owners and operations leaders who keep buildings running.
Across these events, decision-makers and industry experts share the stage with vendors.
Big 5 Global meets from November 23 to 26 in Dubai. It draws built-environment professionals from across the Middle East.
London Build Expo follows on November 25 and 26. Expect panel discussions on BIM and sustainability.
BIM World Munich runs from November 24 to 26. It draws BIM managers and Digital Twin specialists from across Europe.
Chicago Build Expo also runs October 28 and 29. It bills itself as the Midwest’s largest construction and design show.
Two more events round out the 2026 calendar, and both fill gaps the shows above don’t cover.
First, the NECA Convention & Trade Show runs from October 4 to 7 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The National Electrical Contractors Association hosts it, and it draws electrical contractors, project managers, and manufacturers from across the electrical construction trade. With more than 400 exhibitors on the show floor, the show gives specialty trade professionals hands-on access to the latest power, lighting, and communication technology.
Further afield, JAPAN BUILD Tokyo closes out the international calendar from December 2 to 4 at Tokyo Big Sight. It brings together 11 specialized exhibitions under one roof, spanning smart buildings, digital construction, and green building. As a result, it works as a direct gateway into Japan’s construction market for AECO companies looking to expand across Asia.
For a quick reference, here is the full lineup, sorted by date.
Wall and ceiling contractors have a dedicated show too: AWCI’s BUILD convention each March.
World of Concrete leads off January 19 to 21 in Las Vegas. It remains the only trade show built solely for concrete and masonry pros, connecting global concrete contractors and suppliers.
AHR Expo brings HVACR and building-systems specialists together January 25 to 27 in Chicago.
Shortly after, Design & Construction Week returns February 2 to 4, also in Las Vegas. It combines residential builders with kitchen-and-bath design on a single conference agenda.
NFMT’s East edition follows March 31 to April 2 in Baltimore.
ENR FutureTech wraps up on May 4 and 5, back in San Francisco.
Also worth watching: the New York Build Expo typically returns to New York each March. It bills itself as the region’s largest construction and design event, drawing architects, engineers, and interior designers. Its sessions dig into sustainable construction, smart buildings, and urban planning. Many design teams, in turn, use the show to build portfolio material from real project case studies.
That said, organizers had not confirmed the exact 2027 dates at the time.
Over the past year, sessions have shifted fast, and 2027 should keep that pace. Expect more programming on modular construction, prefab delivery, and AI-assisted estimating. Fewer keynotes will talk about tools in the abstract; instead, more will show real jobsite footage.
Every show claims to matter to everyone, but that is rarely true.
Since industry trends move fast, picking the right room saves real time. Many expos now build dedicated topic-specific hubs, from AI to the workforce.
So scan the floor plan before you book flights.
One word of caution, though: regional shows love the word “largest.”
The Midwest has its claimant, and so does the Southeast’s largest construction and design event.
Either way, check attendance numbers yourself before committing to a budget.
To get real value, break the show into three stages.
For further information on any show above, check its official site before registering.
Construction industry trade shows are not optional line items on a marketing budget. Instead, they are where relationships, tools, and ideas actually change hands.
Between now and the end of 2026, there are opportunities across construction technology, sustainability, facility management, design-build, preconstruction, and construction management.
Looking further out, Design & Construction Week and World of Concrete open strong in 2027.
FutureBuild 2026 brings a particular focus to teams working across the full construction lifecycle, connecting digital design, BIM engineering and construction, digital construction management, and digital operations.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG, Design & Construction Week, and Greenbuild are among the major construction industry events by attendance. Groundbreak and Trimble Dimensions focus heavily on construction technology. Each brings construction professionals and industry pros together from across the AECO industry.
FutureBuild 2026 and Trimble Dimensions both target BIM managers and digital construction teams. FutureBuild leans toward full-lifecycle workflows. Dimensions leans toward hands-on hardware and field tech. AECO professionals working across both sides can consider each.
CMAA, Associated General Contractors events, and Construction Super Conference all target GCs directly. Sessions cover contract risk, safety, and project delivery. Groundbreak adds a technology layer, including AI case studies, that most GC-focused shows skip.
DBIA’s Design-Build Conference & Expo runs every November in a different US city. It is built entirely around integrated project delivery. Architects, engineers, and contractors all attend together.
Design & Construction Week combines the International Builders’ Show and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. Both run together each February in Las Vegas. Expect major product launches and a packed conference agenda for residential builders.
Advancing Preconstruction is the dedicated preconstruction conference for this group. It runs each spring, usually in Phoenix. Estimators, precon managers, and owners attend to sharpen bidding and risk practices before ground breaks.
NFMT West and NFMT’s East edition cover most of the calendar. Greenbuild adds a sustainability angle that facility owners increasingly need. All three put decision makers from real building portfolios on the show floor.
A trade show centers on a show floor and product demos. A conference centers on sessions and panel discussions. Most modern events, including FutureBuild, blend both, plus dedicated networking events.
Costs vary widely. Regional expos like Chicago Build Expo are often free to attend. National conferences like Advancing Preconstruction or Greenbuild can run over $1,000. Always check early-bird pricing before the deadline passes.
FutureBuild 2026 runs October 8 and 9, 2026, at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront in California. It is the seventh edition of Pinnacle’s construction lifecycle conference.
Senior executives, architects, designers, consultants, engineers, vendors, and contractors working across design, BIM engineering, construction, or operations should attend. The four tracks suit digital practice leaders especially well, from BIM managers to project and facility engineers.
World of Concrete, AHR Expo, Design & Construction Week, and ENR FutureTech open the year. New York Build Expo is also worth watching, although the exact 2027 dates have not been confirmed at the time.
