Challenges & Solutions:

Challenge 1:

Insufficient space hindered the completion of the duct network between the riser/shaft, AHU, and louver, as per the mechanical input drawing's AHU location.

Solution 1:

Pinnacle suggested swapping the AHU location to avoid any clashes and maintain a coordinated flow of elements seeking MSS Solutions’ approval.

Challenge 2:

The riser ducts encountered clashes with the structural beam within the building shaft.

Solution 2:

With our cutting-edge BIM coordination services we recommended clash-coordinated resizing of the source material, which MSS Solutions approved, and the accurately revised sized components solved the purpose.

Pinnacle’s Value Addition:

1. The mechanical input drawing for the Atrium Health Charlotte NC project depicted future AHU units with incomplete duct routing, potentially causing significant issues during duct installation later on. Pinnacle recommended creating a complete model to prevent any potential problems in the future.

2. Typically, louvers were included in ductwork models as general entities. However, Pinnacle meticulously interpreted the details of the louver drawings in the Atrium Health North Carolina project to enhance their visibility and importance.

3. As an expert 3D BIM modeling services provider, Pinnacle utilized the generic rack model received from MSS Solutions to create the specific rack models to perfectly go with the structural requirement.
