Modeling, Trade Coordination, Installation drawings, Spool drawings, Sleeve Drawing, Hanger Drawings.

Challenges

• Being a hospital project, the complexity and variety of the services make it challenging to coordinate the services within minimum ceiling space. in the MEP coordination stage before producing an installation drawing for the site.

Solution –

Areas with a high density of services were reviewed, considering the use of the shortest path and minimum use of materials. Proper fly zones were created for each service to coordinate between the services.

• Conflicts of data within the design document and mismatch of the specification between the schedule and submittal data were added challenges to the execution.

Solution –

The design documents were reviewed by implementing the walk-through to identify the design and the construction-related issues. Any conflict of design or the submittal data was brought to the client’s attention with possible solutions through the RFI.
