Situated in Orlando, Florida, this soccer-specific venue is designed to host major soccer league matches and sporting events. Pinnacle’s Stadium BIM modeling services in USA for this project included the development and coordination of the stadium’s 3D BIM model. The model aimed to facilitate workshop fabrication, prepare construction shop drawings, and meet various project objectives, including 3D Coordination, Clash Resolution, Quantity Take-off & visualization.

Sports Facility BIM Modeling & Coordination

Pinnacle created the model for this high-capacity soccer stadium. The client also trusted us to coordinate the sub-roof and the wall metal system with other services that are operational in the stadium. Our team also generated installation-ready shop drawings of the sub-roof support system & wall metal panel after completing the BIM coordination.

BIM Modeling Service Scope

Pinnacle provided the BIM coordination services for this project in two different phases for the sub-roof system and wall metal. Our team performed these across the architectural, structural, and MEP trades.

The client also entrusted us to prepare the shop drawing of the Sub-Roof Support System. And this was done from the Design Development (DD) stage after performing the Quantity Take-off for the metal panel.

BIM Coordination Challenges & Engineering Solutions

Challenge: Our team received the model and shop drawing, however there was a delay in receiving the engineering documents.

Solution: Pinnacle combined its value engineering services with stadium modeling in Revit services to tackle this situation. Our team revised the model and shop drawings through rigorous Design Detailing and an Effective Quality Control (QC) Process.

Value Addition by Pinnacle's Stadium BIM Services

  • Vertical hangers were placed 6'-0" as per USA Eastern standards. However, Pinnacle found some discrepancies with the architectural & structural model. Our team raised RFIs for the same, and also changed the RFI standards after review, and the shop drawings were also revised accordingly.
  • The Pipe bracing clashed with the purlin, which we revised in the model & shop drawing as per the raised RFI.
