Teatulia is a commercial tea café comprising a single-story building designed to serve as a dedicated retail and hospitality space. The project involved architectural BIM services to develop an accurate digital representation of the existing building.
The client provided ReCap scan files of the existing Teatulia building, which Pinnacle converted into a Revit-based 3D model. The scope focused on Scan-to-BIM services and architectural modeling, using scan data to develop a detailed model of the existing structure. This point cloud-to-BIM workflow supported the accurate representation of architectural elements through Revit modeling services.

Challenge: The Autodesk ReCap scan files contained tilted walls that were not aligned at the correct angles, creating challenges in accurately representing the existing building.
Solution: Pinnacle interpreted the scan data and modeled the walls in Revit at the correct angles and elevations. This approach helped ensure an accurate representation of the existing building and supported the development of reliable as-built BIM modeling.
The scan data was insufficient to accurately model the windows and exterior elements of the Teatulia café. To address this limitation, Pinnacle supplemented the available information by referencing Google Earth imagery. The team then developed doors, windows, and exterior features that closely matched the actual site conditions, improving the completeness and accuracy of the architectural model.
