Caro Center, Michigan, has served Michigan residents since 1914. It provides care for epilepsy, developmental disabilities, and mental health needs. For this healthcare facility, Pinnacle delivered BIM Services in Michigan across multiple MEP disciplines. The scope included 3D modeling, multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, shop drawings, and as-built updates.
The project involved a two-floor building spanning 127,720 sq. ft. Pinnacle developed coordinated MEP models at LOD 400. The team also prepared construction documentation for installation and coordination. The client was invited to BIM 360 using project-specific IDs. This enabled seamless collaboration and efficient information exchange.
Pinnacle provided 3D Modeling & Coordination BIM Services in Michigan to develop coordinated models for the project’s mechanical piping, plumbing, and electrical systems. The models supported multidisciplinary coordination, clash resolution, construction documentation, and as-built updates.
The modeling scope included:
Pinnacle prepared detailed MEP Shop Drawing Services in Michigan for the project’s mechanical piping, plumbing, and electrical systems. The deliverables included plans, sections, shop drawings, and required construction details to support field installation and project execution.
The project required extensive multidisciplinary coordination within a strict project schedule and limited budget. Pinnacle provided MEP Clash Detection Services in Michigan, identifying and resolving conflicts between mechanical piping, plumbing, electrical, and other trades.
More than 1,000 clashes, including 300+ critical clashes, were resolved by resizing and rerouting services. Daily coordination meetings were conducted using Navisworks to review conflicts, incorporate RFI responses, and progressively develop clash-free 3D models.

Challenge: The project had a limited budget of $31,000, while the requirements for as-built documentation and facility management were not included in the original scope.
Solution: Pinnacle requested and received approval for multiple change orders to incorporate the required as-built services.
Challenge: Coordination with other trades was challenging because formal coordination meetings had not been included in the initial project scope.
Solution: Pinnacle established daily meetings with the client to clarify technical issues, review clashes, and develop coordinated, clash-free 3D models using Navisworks.
Challenge: The project had a strict deadline and required multiple submissions within a limited timeframe and with constrained resources.
Solution: Pinnacle trained the project team according to the client's specific prerequisites, enabling the team to meet project requirements and complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.
Pinnacle's BIM approach delivered measurable improvements in coordination and construction documentation:
