The Minories site project Haydon Gardens is primarily a residential tower that is spread over a 77070 sq. ft. area. Consisting of 87 residential apartments with 3 floors of penthouses, it is a unique contemporary landmark site in the vicinity that brings nature and architecture together to reveal a great construction marvel. Visually striking, yet sensitively stitched into its urban context, Haydon Gardens offers breathtaking views and the best of London, right on its doorstep.

Scope of Work

  • 3D modeling of the MEP items
  • Coordination of all services
  • Shop Drawing Preparation
  • BWIC Drawing Creation
  • Utility Cupboard Drawing Creation

Challenges and Solutions

  • The main challenge for this project was the coordination of services due to the complex design of the building. Due to the matchbox-shaped architecture of the building, MEP riser fixing was a huge challenge.

After several design iterations and a series of cross-channel discussions, the challenge was evaded and fixed.

  • Due to the complex architectural design, there were many changes and updates done to the architectural model. This took more time than usual as it was difficult to track the changes and analyze the impact on MEP due to its design complexities.

To overcome this we used the BIM 360 tool to identify the changes required and updated the MEP services accordingly.

Pinnacle’s Value Addition

Pinnacle worked on some of the most crucial clashes in the process. We raised 41 RFIs, regarding missing and conflicting data, conductibility issues, and maintenance or accessibility issues. We solved 200 critical disputes in the process.
